Girl Meets Rah Rah Episode Taping (Girl Meets World)

Girl Meets World is definitely one of my favorite shows on Television.  So during summer, I couldn't resist going to see another taping of the show.  The episode title was "Girl Meets Rah Rah"

We got to the studio at around 2:00pm and the line was already getting long.  It was a really hot day, so we packed some drinks and snacks in a portacooler and we even had some pizza delivered in line so we had something to eat.  A word of warning, there is "No" bathroom close by, so if you need to go you will have to go to the Starbucks which is a few blocks away.

Anyways we waited in line for a bit and they let us in around 4pm or so.  Phew!  Thank Goodness because it was really getting hot at this point.

When we got in we had to line up by the side of the building.  They let the VIP Guests go in first, but we were inside shortly afterwards and the seats were not even filled up.

They let the kids sit up front!  (Yay!) so I got to see all of the action.

The Audience Warm-Up Comedian got us all excited!  He asked us if we wanted to meet the cast!  We all screamed, "Yeah!!!!"  He said he would see what he could do.  He asked if we wanted prizes!  Everyone screamed!

It's so exciting seeing the set and all the familiar places we see on the show like the Living Room, Riley's Room, Cory's classroom and the school hallway. They look much smaller in person but when you see them in the show they look huge.

After the producer, Michael Jacobs talked with us for a few minutes.  He said that the episode lately have been pretty heavy, so this episode was supposed to be a lighthearted episode.  He then introduced us to Micky Dolenz from the Monkees who was involved in the show.

Also in the audience was actress Salma Hayek and her family.  I didn't see them sitting with us, so maybe they had seats elsewhere.

Rowan and Sabrina were really friendly and would walk by the audience and say Hi! or wave to us!  Everyone was excited about that!

During the audience contest, I sang "Take on the World" and got a t-shirt for a prize.  Too bad it wasn't a Girl Meets World T-Shirt!

The show was about Riley trying out for the Cheerleading squad, something that she has been trying and failing for the last few years.  A poignant quote from show from a historical figure was the basis for the lesson in this episode.  I can't spoil it so I won't post it here.  Also Cory (Ben Savage) has a dilemma in being a teacher and a father at the same time.

After the episode was finished taping, we saw some taped portions of the show with Perez Hilton in it, which was hilarious.  The audience was split in half and one side could meet Sabrina and Peyton, while the other side could meet the other actors who weren't ready yet to greet them.  I got to meet Sabrina and Peyton, but also Ben Savage too who was walking past them when they were doing autographs.  I got Sabrina to autograph my CD of "Eyes Wide Open"  She was so surprised to see that I bought it and brought it to her to sign.

Again like last time they rushed us after we took a picture. It was hard to talk to Sabrina but she was really friendly and took her time in meeting with us.  August Maturo grabbed the microphone when we were in line waiting and he did a Q&A session with the audience. It was really cute!

I didn't get to see Rowan or Corey as they were still talking with the other guests backstage.  It was around 7pm when we got out of the studio and it was a fun end of summer thing to do!  Can't wait to tell my friends when we go back to school.

Meet and Greet with the "I Didn't Do It!" cast after show taping

A few months ago, I went to the very first live studio taping for the show "I Didn't Do It!"

We had tried to go to see a taping of "Girl Meets World" but were turned away as we arrived later than 3:30pm.  Luckily they gave us VIP Tickets to see "I Didn't Do It!"

The Audience and their 15 minutes of fame!

It was the taping of "Slumber Partay" and it was really funny!  We got to see them film the show, and they would do different re-takes of the scene.  The Audience Warm-Up comedian got us all excited for the show, and he had a dance contest for the kids. I got to dance and won some "I Didn't Do It" posters and pictures.

It went pretty smoothly considering this was the first live taping.  After the taping there was a curtain call and all the stars came on stage to a lot of applause.  After the show, the cast lined up behind the railing and the audience all lined up and we got to meet ALL the stars of the show.
A view of the stage

Every one was super friendly! and we weren't rushed at all to meet the stars.  I got to have my poster that I won autographed by all the cast!  When I met Olivia Holt and Piper Curda, I asked them if we could be friends, and they said, "Sure!" and gave me a hug.  Piper said we could be "Best Friends!"  She was so nice.  Everyone was really nice and that's what made this show taping special!

We can be Best Friends!

Girl Meets Semi-Formal
Airdate:  8/14/2015
Synopsis:  Riley is asked to the semi-formal dance by a classmate named Charlie and is torn whether to go with him or Lucas. Meanwhile, Cory’s brother Eric is paid a visit from an old friend.

Girl Meets Creativity
Airdate:  8/21/2015
Synopsis:  When art and music are threatened to be cut from school, the kids have to find a creative way to convince the school board to show their value.

This was the episode that I saw a taping for back in June 23rd of this year.  This is going to be a great episode and very inspiring.  Sabrina Carpenter is a great actress and plays many poignant scenes in this one.  During this taping I got to sing for the audience during the warm-up and Sabrina snuck up behind me and gave me a hug.  Too bad they didn't let us take photos at that time!!  I did end up giving Rowan a hug though!  I'll post about my experiences at this taping when Girl Meets Creativity airs.

Going to the "Girl Meets World" Taping on 7/28/2015

If you are a big fan of a television show you might have the opportunity to see what happens behind the scenes at a show taping. Yesterday I went to the taping of my favorite Disney Channel show, Girl Meets World.

So what happens during a taping? Well for one thing taping for our show was scheduled for 5pm that day. Guests of the show are encouraged to arrive prior to 3pm but there is no guarantee as space is limited. So we got there much earlier than the 5pm call. We spent a lot of time in the hot sun, so make sure you bring lots of drinks and a book to keep you occupied or interested. We were lucky enough to get in and they checked us into our seats. They usually let kids sit in the front (Yay!) Cameras are not allowed, but they said we could bring our phones in as long as they were shut off. It's a little cold in the studio, so remember to bring a sweater. Then we had an audience Warm-Up Comedian get us hyped for the show! He was very funny and kept us laughing in between takes. He asked the kids to participate in some contests such as a dance contest, or a talent contest. I raised my hand right away and said I wanted to sing the Girl Meets World theme song! He let me sing after they filmed a scene and I won a T-shirt! I can't spoil the episode, but the producer of the show came out to talk to us and told us that originally it was supposed to be a lighthearted episode.

The whole GMW cast
It deals with Riley trying out for the Cheerleading Team. It deals with failure, determination, and support. That's all I could really say, but it was a very inspirational episode for something that was supposed to be lighthearted and fun.

When they were filming they usually have to film 3 different takes, but sometimes they filmed more, especially when the cast messed up their lines, which was hilarious! It was really interesting watching them redo the same scene over, because they would sometimes add different words, or show different emotions, or emphasize different things, so even if we watched the same scene over, it was always different. Ben Savage (Corey Matthews)and Danielle Fishel (Topanga Matthews) had some really funny and touching scenes in this particular show. Sabrina Carpenter (Maya) and Rowan Blanchard (Riley) were wonderful in their acting and some of the ways they delivered their lines were so emotional that you couldn't help feel what the characters were feeling. This is an ensemble show, and the cameraderie you see with the characters seems so genuine.

After the show the Warm Up Comedian asked us if we wanted to meet the stars! Of course we did!  He split the audience into two halves the left side go to see Sabrina and Peyton. The right side saw August and the other stars. I was on the left side and got to meet Sabrina and Peyton.

Sabrina and Alexis
We are separated by a glass partition but the stars were able to reach over and give us hugs, autographs and talk to us. Sabrina was so nice and she signed my "Eyes Wide Open" CD. She was genuinely happy that I bought it. Ben Savage snuck in and also gave some autographs but had to leave fast.

Salma Hayek waving to the audience

Rowan and Cory were backstage talking to some of the VIP guests so we didn't get the chance to see them. So who were some of the VIP guests?  Well Salma Hayek and her daughter were backstage and got to meet all the stars. Salma did wave to the audience which was cool!
Ready to be a John Quincy Adams student!

The whole meeting and signing process was really rushed and you don't get to meet everyone😓. The stars were all very nice and took their time to meet with their fans but it was a lot of people so the staff had to rush us through.  In the end though it is a fan's greatest wish come true being able to watch our favorite stars perform and actually having the chance to meet them. If you are in the Hollywood area I suggest you do it once in your life.

Meeting the EvanTubeHD Family at Downtown Disney

This last weekend we got to meet the whole EvanTubeHD Family at Downtown Disney.

There was a Meet and Greet Event scheduled for 3pm that day.  This happened during the middle of Vidcon which had been going on for the past few days.  We arrived at Downtown Disney around 10am. There was already a line at this time (about 20 people)  and my Daddy saved us a place in line while we walked around, shopped and had breakfast.  We can back to the line about an hour later and happened to see passing by...

Evan, Jillian and Alexis

Hi Jillian!

Evan, Jillian and the whole family were going to catch some rides in Disneyland before the Meet and Greet.  The whole family was really friendly and Evan and Jillian were really nice.  My Daddy even started talking to DaddyTube (Evan's Dad).  "Oh Daddy!  You are so embarassing!"  I think they were talking about boring grown up stuff.  We told them that we would see them when they got back from the park.

And by the time they came back...

That's a long line!

This is what the crowd ended up looking like!!  Yikes!  It was a really hot day so my Mommy and Daddy took turns waiting in line for us.  But it was worth it.

That's an even longer line!

We met the whole EvanTubeHD family and they handed out autographed cards and took pictures and videos with us.  Hmm... where can I get an EvanTubeHD shirt like that!?

Alexis and the EvanTubeHD Family
Also at the Meet and Greet were HobbyKidsTV and Bratayley!!  It was a really fun and long day, and I got to meet the stars of my favorite YouTube channels.  You can see the video that I took of the event on my webpage:  ChannelAlexis2k6.com or my YouTube Channel:  ChannelAlexis2k6 YouTube Channel
